The Gritti dynasty, rooted in 16th-century Venice, is renowned as one of the most significant Venetian spice importers and as a family of statesmen, including the Doge of Venice Andrea Gritti and his son Alvise Gritti, a celebrated merchant and diplomat.

After years as a third-party producer for major cosmetic brands – taking charge of his family business in the early 2000s – Luca Gritti founded his own brand in 2010.
